Men’s Spartan Basketball

The men’s basketball team extended their Region III, Division III winning streak to eight with a big opening Mid-State Athletic Conference win over #2 Corning Community College in January. With a score of 67-62, the Spartans were a half game behind Herkimer for the Region’s best Divisional record.  For the Corning game, Darien Lowe (Amherst, NY) led the way with 15 points and 6 rebounds for the Spartans. Christian Rodriguez and Jordan Curtis (both from Freeport, NY) chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively. Darien Lowe was named Cayuga CC Male Athlete-of-the-Week for his 26 points and 9 rebounds against Genesee & Corning. The Spartans traveled to Watertown on the 12th where they suffered a loss to Jefferson; and achieved another win when they hosted Broome CC on the 14th.
