Lisa_ChelenzaLisa D. Chelenza ’92 is one-third of the two-time New York State Broadcaster Award winning team of the “Gomez & Dave in the Morning Show” (best morning show team) on TK99 and WOUR.  She is also host of “Pet Pointers” on YNN.  In our fall 2009 Spartan, we shared that Lisa had won National Emmy Awards as a feature producer on NBC Sports for her work on the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, UT, and the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.  During her career, Chelenza has worked as on-camera talent for TNN, Fox Sports Net and Showtime.  She has also worked as feature producer for Lifetime Television, NBC Sports and Time Warner Cable.

Chelenza was nominated for Syracuse Woman of the year in 2012 for her efforts in support of animal welfare causes, as well as for educating the public on responsible pet parenting.  She serves on the Board of Directors of Spay and Neuter Syracuse (SANS), a low-cost spay and neuter clinic in Syracuse, and the Priscilla Mahar Animal Welfare Foundation.  Lisa cares for several pets that she has rescued on her small farm in Skaneateles, NY.
